What types of positions are available?
We recruit from the following discipline areas: Engineering (Mining, Electrical, Mechanical, Geotechnical), Environmental Science, Geology, Metallurgy, OH& S, Accounting & Finance, Surveying and Supply & Logistics*.

What is the application deadline?

Where could I be based for my role?
Our Graduates are typically located at one of our Australian operations or corporate office with rotations during the program both within Australia and potentially outside Australia (restrictions may apply).

I have applied to Newcrest before. Can I reapply?
You are welcome to reapply. Please note that our Graduate Program is targeted at recent graduates who are no more than 24 months post the completion of their degree.

Do you pay relocation expenses?
If you have to move to start your role with us, we will meet all reasonable costs associated with your relocation, including:
- payment of removal, storage and insurance of furniture and personal effects, plus one car and pet.
- one-way economy airfares for you.
- temporary accommodation for up to 8 weeks.
- relocation assistance for future moves with the company will also be provided.

What minimum qualifications do I need to apply for a Graduate role?
The minimum qualification is a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in the relevant discipline to which you are applying.

I need a work visa. Should I arrange one before I apply?
You can submit your application without having a work visa. If your application is successful and you need a work visa, the offer will be conditional upon obtaining a work visa and Newcrest will support you to apply for one. We cannot guarantee the approval of your work visa.

Can I defer my start date?
It is our preference to commence our Graduates in January however, we will work with you to identify a start date that is mutually agreeable should your circumstances require. Typically we would not defer a commencement any longer than 6 months.

I have already graduated and have some work experience. Am I eligible to apply for the Graduate Program?
If you have already completed your degree and have less than 24 months professional work experience, you can apply for our program.

How should I dress for my interview?
Your first interview will be located in a capital city location and smart business dress is appropriate. Second interviews may be conducted on site and you will be provided with further information on this during the selection process.
